Looking for volunteers who have had episodes of depression in the past but are not currently taking antidepressants, to take part in a 7 day study looking at the effect of a licensed drug, prucalopride.

PROGRESS study: PRucalopride and cOGnition in REcovered depreSSion

Recovered from depression, and in good health?

Would you like to volunteer for a study?

We are looking for healthy volunteers aged 18 to 55 years to take part in a study investigating the effect of 7 days of a licensed medication, prucalopride, on thinking and emotion. You would also have recovered from 2 or more previous episodes of depression. You do not need to have taken antidepressants before.

The study involves questionnaires and computer tasks and would require you to attend the University Department of Psychiatry on 2 occasions.

You will be asked questions about your physical and mental health to check your eligibility for the study. We can check suitability for the study remotely, which would reduce the length of the first visit to the Department.

Time & travel expenses will be reimbursed.

You can contact us by emailing angharad.decates@psych.ox.ac.uk or progress_study@psych.ox.ac.uk or by calling us on 01865 618318.
