Communications Manager

I support the Department of Psychiatry with both internal and external communications.

I have 20 years’ experience across media and communications in journalism and the charity sector.

After studying anthropology at UCL, I began a decade-long career as a journalist, initially in local newspapers, then working as a national TV news producer at Channel Five News and at the BBC, mostly on the BBC's One O’Clock News bulletin.

Before joining Oxford University, I spent nine years in the charity sector, primarily working on women and girls’ rights, with a significant focus on mental health (particularly the impact of trauma and abuse).

While working full-time, I completed a Graduate Certificate in History and an MSc in Gender, Sexuality and Society at Birkbeck, University of London.

I work Monday to Thursday (until approx 2.30pm each day).
