5 researchers in the Department of Psychiatry are in the top one percent of the Highly Cited Researchers 2019 list.

The 2019 list of Highly Cited Researchers, which recognises the world's most influential researchers of the past decade, demonstrated by the production of multiple highly-cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in Web of Science, is now published.

Researchers cited in the list from the Department of Psychiatry account for ten percent of all Oxford university scientists in the list.

Those recognised and leading world-class research and teaching, helping to translate advances in science into better mental health for all, at the Department of Psychiatry include:
