Liz talked about how genetic differences can lead to the same drug having opposite effects in different people: enhancing memory in some people and impairing it in others. After brief presentations from her, Ana Cavalcanti (a computer scientist), Alexandra Brand (a fungal microbiologist) and Lucie Green (a solar scientist), there was a lively Q&A session (with a full house) covering everything from the importance of computer programming for all scientific disciplines to the ethics of cognitive enhancement. Well done!
