Healthy volunteers needed for a drug study investigating how a commonly-used medicine, a statin, affects emotional information, rewarding information, and inflammation.

We are looking for healthy volunteers aged 18-50 years to participate in a study investigating how a statin (a medication commonly used to reduce cholesterol) changes the way we process emotional information and rewarding information, and its effect on inflammation.

Duration: Two appointments (one screening visit, one research visit) about 4 hours in total

Who can participate? Healthy volunteers aged 18 to 50 years

What does the study involve? Psychological tasks and taking one tablet each day for 7 days. Also, you will be asked questions about your medical history to check your suitability for the study and a blood test will be taken at each visit.

For more information in confidence, with no obligation to participate, please contact our research team at riccardo.degiorgi@psych.ox.ac.uk. You will be reimbursed for your time!
