We participate in the Programmes of the Medical Sciences Graduate School.

The taught MSc is a modular course lasting for one year.  It offers insights into a range of fields including molecular biology, brain imaging, behavioural research and epidemiology.  Teaching and supervision are provided by the Departments of Psychiatry and Pharmacology and the Nuffield Departments of Clinical Neuroscience and Clinical Medicine. The MSc course is delivered by expert pre-clinical and clinical research teams. It provides students with the opportunity to take a translational (“cell to patient”) approach to exploring the causes, the diagnosis and treatment of disease brain disorders.

In order to progress to terms 2 and 3, students will be required to pass a Qualifying Exam at the end of their first term. The exam is designed to assess basic understanding of brain disorders and their therapies.

Entry requirements include a 2:1 or higher degree (or international equivalent) in any science discipline. Successful completion of a professional training course or professional work experience in the health service or a health-related field may also be considered

The deadline for applications is 12.00 noon UK time (midday) on Friday 11th January 2019.  You can find information about the admission process, as well as answers to any other questions you may have here.

Please contact Tracy Lindsey for further advice.
