Andrew Goodsell

Virtual Reality Specialist

I am a Virtual Reality Specialist working with the O-CAP team to support the development of virtual reality environments for the treatment of mental health disorders.

I worked as a Clinical Data Associate after completing my BSc in Biological Sciences and Computer Science at The University of Birmingham. I am interested the use of virtual reality in education. For my master's thesis I designed and implemented a virtual reality anatomy laboratory for medical students to learn about human anatomy. Students used this virtual environment to learn thorax dissection techniques in preparation for cadaveric dissection and assess their knowledge of thorax anatomy. I completed my MSc in Medical Visualisation and Human Anatomy at The University of Glasgow and The Glasgow School of Art.
