DPhil Student: The Effects of Mindfulness on Prosocial Behaviour in the Workplace
DPhil Student (Part-Time)
I am exploring the effects of mindfulness on prosocial behaviour in the workplace. My work is supervised by Professor Willem Kuyken.
Mindfulness has become a popular topic in several mind-related disciplines, including psychology, psychiatry and neuroscience. Increasingly, this is a subject of interest to organisations in both the public and private sectors. Whilst there is good evidence for the efficacy of mindfulness practice in a clinical setting, there is a lack of robust research to demonstrate effectiveness in the workplace.
The purpose of the research is to rigorously evaluate the impact of mindfulness practice on prosocial psychology and behaviour for individuals and teams within organisations.
