Personalised care in mental health
I am a DPhil candidate at the Magdalen College, University of Oxford, and an Honorary Specialist in Psychiatry at the Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. My passion since embarking upon my career has been to contribute to the psychiatrist's armamentarium of evidence-based management.
I am using network meta-analysis of individual patient data to stratify treatment for depression combining randomised and observational data.
The aim of my project is to develop an internet-based system which will help doctors and patients together choose the best antidepressant for each individual with moderate to severe symptoms of depression, considering together both the efficacy and the adverse events of these drugs. I am also designing the clinical trial that will test the algorithm. I am working under the supervision of Andrea Cipriani.
I am part of the QResearch Scientific Committee.
