Jaycee Kennett
Research Associate
I am a research associate in the Oxford Precision Psychiatry Laboratory (OxPPL), focusing on evidence synthesis and living systematic reviews. My current focus is how cognitive bias modification can be used to improve symptoms of social anxiety.
I am also interested in nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI) and how it is conceptualised at both individual and societal levels. My PhD examined how these understandings of NSSI link with the UK's healthcare systems. My PhD utilised mixed methods to examine these areas.
Before starting in the department I lectured the BSc Psychology course at Aberystwyth University, focusing on conceptual and historical issues in psychology and research methods. I also have a number of years professional experience working with children and adolescents with mental health issues, rough sleepers with dual diagnosis needs, and prison leavers.
