DPhil Student

  • Green Templeton College

I am currently a DPhil candidate in the Department of Psychiatry under the supervision of Catherine Harmer and Philip Cowen. We are investigating the effects of elevated cortisol levels on cognitive and emotional processing in depressive disorders using a range of behavioural and neuroimaging approaches.

Previously, I was a research assistant with Roshan Cools at the Donders Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging in Nijmegen, where we used acute tryptophan depletion to elucidate the role of serotonin in reinforcement learning paradigms of decision making. My studies were in Psychology and Music (BSc, Leeds), and Psychological Research Methods (MSc, University College London), and I have gained clinical experience through internships in psychiatric hospitals and nursing homes.
