Sammi is a Research Assistant in the Brain and Cognition Lab, based at OHBA.
Sammi graduated from Experimental Psychology, based at New College, in 2015. During this he was a final-year student in the Brain and Cognition Lab and the Attention Group, co-supervised by Kia Nobre and Mark Stokes.
Sammi is interested in how expectations guide attention and working-memory, and how these are implemented in the brain. Sammi is also interested in the behavioural and neural mechanisms of how information is retrieved from memory, and how this can be conceptualised as a decision-making process. He has experience of EEG, MEG and eye-tracking to investigate these questions.
As a research assistant, Sammi works on the "Premembering" project, aiding investigations into how memories and goals interact to guide perception.
