Sophie Howitt


Research Assistant

Sophie completed a BSc in Psychology at the University of Sheffield before going on to do her Masters in Health Psychology at the University of Nottingham.

She has previously worked with patients with eating disorders as well as working in psychiatric hospitals in Sri Lanka.

Sophie mainly works on The HOME Study as a research assistant for the Psychological Medicine Research Group. Her research interests include finding better ways to provide psychological care for patients with chronic illness, studying how we can improve communication between healthcare professionals and patients, and predicting and changing health behaviour.
