Taanvi Ramesh

MSc Student

I am an MSc (Res) student working under the supervision of Professor Seena Fazel. My main research interests include forensic psychology, suicidal ideation in forensic settings and violence risk assessment instruments.

I will be accumulating international data on prison suicides, comparing this to general population suicide rates and investigating potential explanations for variation in prison suicide rates, such as prison and healthcare expenditure, ratio of prisoners to staff, and incarceration rates.

I will also be conducting a systematic review on the predictive validity of violence risk assessment instruments in forensic inpatient settings.

I completed my BA in Psychology and Linguistics at Magdalen College, Oxford.
