IN-PULSE Study: Investigating the influence of Sex and Hormones on Vulnerability to Psychosis and Neurocognition

We are looking for healthy female volunteers aged 18–70 to take part in a study on how sex and hormones influence vulnerability to psychosis and neurocognition. You will be paid up to £175, with travel expenses also covered. In the study we will be using a non-invasive method to measure brain activity called EEG to explore whether hormonal fluctuations impact the brain.

Participation involves 1 screening visit followed by 2 scanning visits over several weeks. Each scanning visit involves answering several questionnaires and completing several tasks in the scanner, with breaks in-between. The time commitment is about 1.5 hours for the screening and around 3.5 hours for the scanning visit, whereby visits will be located at the Life and Mind Building (OX1 3EL) and the Department of Psychiatry (OX3 7JX).

Please email IN-PULSE@psych.ox.ac.uk if you want a more detailed participant information sheet, which will also be emailed to you prior to the first screening visit.
