STUDENTSHIPS - We have some full-studentships that cover course fees, as well as living costs. These are funded by a number of bodies including the Medical Research Council, Clarendon Funds and University Colleges and will be awarded on a competitive basis.
Department of Psychiatry DPhil Studentships

The Department will be offering at least one fully-funded studentship to outstanding applicants to the DPhil in Psychiatry to start in October 2026. The studentship/s will be open to both UK and International students.

MSc Clinical and Therapeutic Neuroscience Studentships

We are pleased to invite applications for the MSc Clinical and Therapeutic Neuroscience Course commencing in October 2026. We have two fully-funded studentships available for outstanding UK and overseas applicants.

To make a formal application, please complete the University’s online application form for the DPhil in Psychiatry course. Please indicate the iCASE project clearly by inserting ‘iCASE’ before the project title and by using the reference code iCASE. You will need to provide a personal statement (500 words max). Note that no project proposal is required for the iCASE studentship applications.
If you wish to apply for a combination of iCASE and the regular DPhil in Psychiatry this can be done on the same application form. In this circumstance, please ensure you include a title, full research proposal (maximum of 1,000 words), potential supervisors and studentship code "26PSYCH01WEB" for the non-iCASE project.
