Clinical Research Fellow
I am a Clinical Research Fellow working with Professor Phillip McGuire and Dr Graham Blackman, based at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Oxford.
I am currently involved in the Baseline Biomarker Check (BBC) study. The BBC study aims to identify biomarkers for prediction of treatment response in people experiencing first episode psychosis, and assess methods for early identification of secondary psychosis.
The BBC study takes a translational approach, and is therefore closely linked with the implementation of a new Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) protocol. This is being introduced at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust's Early Intervention Service. It aims to standardise treatment for patients with first episode psychosis following the recently published INTEGRATE guidelines.
Before arriving at Oxford, I completed my Foundation Training at the County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. I studied Medicine at the University of Sheffield, and have an Intercalated Psychology BSc from the University of Leeds.
