I am interested in cross-cutting issues in mental health in sub-Saharan Africa. My research evaluates interventions that aim to reduce the treatment gap for common mental disorders.
My DPhil project evaluated the effectiveness of a stigma reduction intervention in rural coastal Kenya. My DPhil studies were supervised by Professor Charles Newton, Professor Belinda Lennox and Dr Symon Kariuki.
