My research interests lie in clinical and experimental psychiatry, including studies of emotional processing and affective disorders, particularly bipolar depression. I have worked on fMRI studies investigating the effects of a single dose of lamotrigine on brain function in healthy volunteers. This work examined the effects of lamotrigine on emotional processing, in the context of its established role in the treatment of bipolar depression. I am currently involved in clinical research investigating novel pharmacological treatments for psychiatric disorders.
