Women's Health

I am a DPhil student in the Department of Psychiatry, and I am interested in advancing women’s health research. I am currently working on the PIPPA Study, which aims to investigate the effect that a commercial probiotic may have on the gut microbiome, emotional processing, and cognitive functions in perimenopausal women experiencing mood and cognitive disturbances. Through my DPhil research, I hope to generate data that can guide future clinical applications of probiotics in managing perimenopausal symptoms. Prior to my DPhil, I completed my undergraduate degree in biomedical science at the University of Brighton and my Master’s degree in reproductive and developmental biology at Imperial College London.
