Clinical Academic Pharmacist

I am a clinical academic pharmacist with a specialist interest in the use of psychiatric medicines in early psychosis. I hold an MPharm degree from the University of Wolverhampton and a postgraduate diploma in pharmacy practice from Queen’s University Belfast, where I also completed a prescribing qualification.

I earned my PhD in psychoepidemiology at the University of Oxford, where my research focused on the use of clozapine in treatment-resistant psychosis. I currently serve as an honorary lecturer in psychopharmacology at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King’s College London.

Over the past seven years, I have worked in clinical hospital pharmacy within mental health settings. My work has led to international recognition as a leading authority on the clinical use of psychiatric medicines, and I am a contributing author to the internationally renowned Maudsley Prescribing Guidelines.
