Miriam Carter-Fraser
I am Network Manager for the WISDOM Research Network at the University of Oxford, working within the Oxford Centre for Emerging Minds Research. My role focuses on building partnerships between researchers, schools and communities, supporting collaboration so that educators and young people can play an active role in shaping research on children and young people’s mental health.
I am a qualified primary teacher with over ten years’ experience working across schools, youth programmes and research–practice partnerships. I have led training and support for large-scale research in schools, developed curriculum and professional learning resources, and worked with educators to translate research into accessible programmes and materials.
I am particularly motivated by work that ensures research leads to meaningful change for children and young people. I am interested in how partnerships between researchers, educators and communities can help evidence reach classrooms, strengthen empathy and understanding, and support practical improvements in children’s wellbeing, learning and opportunities.
