Sarah Chen

DPhil Student

My research focuses on the impacts of emerging technologies and using custom-built games for research. My DPhil project, based in the Design Bioethics Lab, works on developing an interactive fiction narrative game methodology with decision-making and consequences to test public preferences and attitudes on emerging technology usage in conflict.

Previously, I worked as a game developed in Chicago on a VR roomscale puzzle game: Hotel Infinity. I have designed games and crisis simulations for government, industry, and commercial clients.

I completed a MSc in Social Science Internet at the Oxford Internet Institute in 2023, and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Claremont McKenna College in 2022.
