Katherine Young & Christine Parsons were awarded a poster prize at the Society for Social Neuroscience's Annual meeting in Washington, DC last week. This poster received second place in the 'People's Choice Award', where attendees were asked to vote for their favourite poster

The poster was entitled 'Early Specialised Processing of Infant Vocalisations in the Adult Brain' and presented magnetoencephalography data for privileged processing of infant distress sounds. Katherine Young carried out this work as part of her DPhil and has now taken up a postdoctoral fellowship at the Psychology Department in UCLA.
