Joint Runners-up: Daniel Maughan and Charlotte Allan for Psychiatry Podcasts

The annual OxTALENT competition, run by IT Services, celebrates and rewards the innovative use of digital technologies to enhance teaching, learning, research and outreach at the University. Daniel Maughan and Charlotte Allan, supported by the audiovisual expertise and volunteer time of Wayne Davies, have been awarded runner-up prize for the "Academic Podcasting Category" for their Psychiatry Podcast series.

The Psychiatry Podcast series is freely available to all. Initially developed as a resource for medical students studying psychiatry, it has expanded its remit through interviews with senior academics, providing a wealth of information about the latest developments in psychiatry and neuroscience. The series is also available on iTunes, and since 2013 has had over 26,000 downloads with over 5,800 new subscribers.
