About me

I transitioned into psychiatry after completing an MSc in Biomedical Engineering at the École Polytechnique de Bruxelles in 2024, where I initially specialised in medical image analysis and medical device design. Motivated by the many unresolved challenges in mental health research, I subsequently completed an MSc by Research in Psychiatry at the University of Oxford.

My current research combines clinical psychiatry with data science, programming, and large-scale electronic health records to address important clinical questions.

I am particularly interested in understanding symptom instability as a predictor of important clinical outcomes across depressive disorders, psychosis, and bipolar disorder.

I also investigate the relationship between infections and brain health, building on work examining the long-term effects of COVID-19 and extending this to the potential protective effects of vaccination and the identification of key infection-related factors associated with neurological and psychiatric outcomes.
