The Brain Informatics Group
The Brain Informatics Group was launched at the University of Oxford with a mission to improve brain health by building advanced data science techniques and applying them to large-scale multimodal data, with a particular focus on international health records datasets.
Our work spans multiple disease areas from psychosis to dementia and multiple techniques from prediction modelling to causal inference.
Our group has published research on drug repurposing and the interface between physical and mental health, featured in numerous media outlets including the BBC, CNN, The Guardian, Nature, Science, Scientific American, The Times, TIME Magazine, The New York Times, Financial Times, The Economist and others, and has influenced national and international policies and guidelines (including the WHO, NICE, US CDC, NIH, World Bank, and others).
