In July and October, groups of psychiatry consultants and trainees visited the Ashmolean to consider questions raised by the depiction of emotions such as grief and anger in paintings, drawings and prints. The session was held in a Museum study room, with discussion springing from a direct encounter with artworks by, among others, Albrecht Dürer, Michelangelo Buonarroti and Filippino Lippi.
This autumn, a sessions for psychiatry specialists will be held at the Ashmolean
