This study would take up to three study visits, two of which can happen on the same day, (4.5h total) at the Oxford Centre for Human Brain Activity (OHBA) at the Warneford Hospital in Oxford (OX3 7JX). Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and magnetoencephalography (MEG) are types of brain scans that allow us to see how the brain is organised and processes information. These scans are safe and do not involve any needles or injections. You would be asked to sit still in a scanner and perform some simple tasks like choosing between different options, represented by pictures. During the scan we will also record physiological measures such as your cardiac activity, breathing, muscle activity in your face and skin conductance by placing sensors on your body. You would also be asked to perform similar tasks outside of the scanner. After the scan, you would also be asked to complete some questionnaires about your personality and mood (e.g. symptoms of anxiety or low mood). We will compensate you for your time. Who are we looking for? Healthy right-handed fluent English-speaking men or women aged 18 to 45 years who are not pregnant. You will be asked questions about your medical history to check your suitability for the brain scans. If you are interested and would like more information please contact Jacqueline Scholl or Sammi Chekroud at the Oxford Centre for Human Brain Activity (OHBA) at Jacqueline.scholl@psych.ox.ac.uk and sammi.chekroud@stx.ox.ac.uk. Ethics Approval Reference: R78399/RE001 Thank you for your time!
