Alison is a Consultant Neurodevelopmental Psychiatrist with a particular interest in Adult Autism.  

She has a longstanding interest in medical education.  Alison holds a Postgraduate Certificate and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.  She is delighted to have been made an Oxford University Medical Education Fellow (OUMEF) and an Honorary Teaching Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry for her role in delivering the Oxford Postgraduate Psychiatry Course (OPPC).

Her recent focus has been promoting autism awareness amongst clinicians through the National Autism Training Programme for Psychiatrists, and teaching clinical communication skills to University of Oxford medical students.
