Amalie Schumann

DPhil student

I am a DPhil student in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry supervised by Elizabeth Rapa, Louise Dalton, and Alan Stein. My research is focused on siblings of children with mental illness, their experiences and needs, and interventions targeting siblings.

Prior to starting my DPhil at Oxford, I  worked as a clinical psychologist with children and adolescents in Norway. In 2022, I completed the 6-year professional degree in clinical psychology at the University of Oslo with a thesis focusing on family challenges experienced by siblings of children with chronic disorders. As part of the degree, I completed a visiting stay at the University of California, Berkeley, in 2019.

My DPhil research is funded by Aker Scholarship.
