DPhil Student

I am a DPhil student in psychiatric genetics in the Wray-Visscher group at the Big Data Institute. On my DPhil project, I am being supervised by Professor Naomi Wray and Dr Maxime Taquet. Prior to undertaking a DPhil at Oxford University, I was a research assistant at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience at the University of Queensland in the program for Complex Trait Genomics.

My research aims to use big data (including electronic health records and genetic data) to help develop pharmacogenetic (PGx) tools for personalised medicine approaches in antidepressant therapy. By interrogating these datasets, I am to gain insight into the complex, heterogeneous etiology and symptomatology of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and to translate this into better treatment selection for patients with MDD.
