BIOGRAPHY

I am a DPhil student in the Department of Psychiatry supervised by Prof. Sarah Bauermeister at Dementias Platform UK (DPUK) and Dr. Francine Toye at the Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) NHS Foundation Trust. My research investigates the cultural dimensions of 'successful ageing' among mid-older adults in India. I employ qualitative evidence synthesis and longitudinal data analysis to examine how psycho-socio-cultural factors and early life adversity shape health trajectories, cognitive decline, and overall well-being in later life.

Prior to my doctoral studies, I was working as a Research Fellow at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India on NIHR Global Health Research Group on Psychosis Outcomes- Warwick-India-Canada (WIC) Network. I hold an MSc in Clinical Psychology from University College London (2017-18), funded by the J.N. TATA Trust, and a BA in Psychology from the University of Delhi (2014-17).

My research interests lie in cultural psychology, particularly concepts of well-being, anxiety, and depression, and how mental health treatments can be personalised for adults based on their unique demographic profiles.

Outside of academia, I am an avid meditator and regularly attend meditation retreats in India and the UK.
