Tim was Consultant Psychiatrist in Oxford Health and in the North Oxfordshire Learning Disability Team and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Oxford University's University Department of Psychiatry.

Tim Andrews

He passed away peacefully on Friday, January 20th after a ten month illness.

Valeria Frighi, Senior Clinical Researcher in the Department of Psychiatry, who worked closely with Tim, said:

“Tim was a lovely human being, a wonderful colleague, and a doctor who served hundreds of patients with deep professional knowledge and empathy, as credited by all his colleagues. He was also a pillar within my research team and without his contribution probably none of my studies in people with intellectual disabilities over the past ten years would have been possible.

"His friendship, his willingness to share his wide knowledge and experience in general psychiatry, psychiatry of intellectual disability, neurology, his absolute reliability, calm wisdom, benign humour and refreshingly unassuming manners will be hugely missed.”

He leaves his wife Margaret and their three young sons.
