The focus of my research - supervised by Professor Belinda Lennox, Professor Robert McCutcheon, and Dr Toby Pillinger - is the metabolic and physical health of people with mental illness. Using large-scale electronic health record data, I study obesity, metabolic risk, and the real-world use of preventative and treatment strategies, including GLP-1 receptor agonists and metformin. My work aims to inform clinical practice, guidelines, and future intervention studies to improve physical health outcomes in psychiatric populations.

I am involved in science communication, and have written three non-fiction books with Penguin.
